Bajonet Brass Band is a Rotterdam-based collective led by arranger, and bandleader Armando Petrella, born out of a deep love and respect for the second line traditions of New Orleans and its street music culture.

BBB was founded 2022 with a clear vision: to honor this powerful musical lineage while creating joyful, high-energy moments of connection in streets and clubs alike.

With powerful horns, deep grooves, and a passion for parading, the band delivers music with no frills. Rooted in deep respect for the culture that inspires it, Bajonet brass aims to celebrate human connection—turning public spaces into dancefloors and blending jazz, funk, and soul with a European perspective grounded in humility and celebration, not appropriation.

Their mission is simple: break down the barriers between audience and artists, invite everyone into the groove, and use music to remind the world that jazz is for everyone—a living, breathing language of the people.
